I can't believe Im doing this but... Dell desktops aren't that bad to upgrade compared to others. Not that it matters to most here, but this constant push to replace versus upgrade isn't helping out our global environment in any way/shape or form.
Nice work, reallly, if I could say something well I think the overall painting lack of global lighting and bounce light somehow. White cloth should bright a bit their surrounding, like on the chair. What do you think ?
Wow it's even doing it in an old copy of maya, something's globally screwed with my pc. I've checked settings and there is nothing for pivot points, I've done this a million times, I don't know if there's something hardware related thats faulty, no idea!
Yes, most of the light process will be hand-painted, with a "global soft top light". There will be Lights in scene, but something very soft, probably hand painted in UV2 I'll try to add dynamic light into the scene to see how it blend and if it does the trick :)
Are you using light tracer or some sort of global illumination? In my experience, that kills normal maps. Also, as a side note...you have a lot of hard edged shadows showing up on your pillars..those do not look good.
Nope there will be no dynamic global illumination in UE4, at least not in the beginning. Here are the quotes from Epic: You can read that and a few other interesting bits here: http://forums.epicgames.com/threads/950908-UE4-will-use-Lightmass-for-its-lighting-system!/page7
Silent Storm - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silent_Storm pretty much the closest I've found, it lacks all of the global management stuff though. I'm genuinely surprised that there havent been more X-Com clones/successors since the 90's.
Hi guys this is my command to import the charater but I want this character as a reference rather than import. Any idea? Refrence cmd - file -reference "C:/mystuff/wilma.mb"; global proc UE4_Man_Scale() { string $file_Path = (`internalVar -userPrefDir`) + "icons/3D_Ghost_Script/Unreal_Character_Scale.ma"; file -import…
Hello, i'am doing an environment and I must screengrab-it from 3dSmax. I'll use a second uv channel for the global AO. My question is what shader is my best shot. Xoliul's shader doesn't have a AO multiply so shall stay with Standart shader? Thanks
Some updates and tests Cinematic: WIP Cinematic Tool Test: Procedural Building Tool I also tested the Sun Positioner and Screen Space Global Illumination from UE 4.24.
It is in progress and I still have a lot to do, any feedback or comment is highly appreciated. Thanks a lot for and Happy Holidays!
