Hello! I'm a very very beginner in 3D Art and was wondering if you guys could point out which tools (3d modelling/sculpting tools, extra tools, etc.) that would be good to learn and use and which texts, documents and base concepts would be good to read and learn. Thanks in advance! -S
Is it a good idea to learn how to use more expensive software in order reduce competition from other countries? The thinking is people in places like Russia, India, etc, will have a much harder time affording these expensive products, thus cutting them out of the competition. Some freelance jobs specifically list software…
Hey Guys I did a tutorial on the same topic.how to model chain link fence in 3ds max. It's in 3ds max but you can follow the same procedure for other softwares. Here is the link: http://makeitcg.com/model-chain-link-fence-in-3ds-max/287/ Thanks
To be honest i think the majority of our argument comes from the inherit differences between 2d and 3d. 2d is a much more marketable prospect without the support of animation or a game than 3d can be unless you are pascal Blanche who uses 3d to make illustrations.
Er, for 3d meshes, you have to save the tool as a .ZTL file. It doesn't save the 3d mesh if you just save the document - you have to save the 3d model from the Tool palette (the Save Tool As button, should be just above the Export/Import buttons).
By the way, I'm not using any custom shaders. I haven't made any customizations on the Unity 3D Core (Built-in renderer) template. I simply placed the models in the scene and assigned materials. I also exported from Substance Painter using the metallicsmoothness presets and applied them to my other models using that…
I dotn see why age should be a factor at art. I've been doing 3d art since I was 11, I'm 14 now. I've been using 3ds max from the start and I have seen 3ds max be used more in the industry then maya. When I went to LA film school they had personal contracts with autodesk and chose to order copies of 3ds max as there first…
Hi, I'm Germán, a 3D artist mainly focused on innorganic modelling. I have years of experience with Maya and Substance painter, some basic knowledge of Unreal 4/5 and as of late I've been experimenting with AI to create concept art or materials with Substance Sampler and Stable Diffusion. I can also handle myself with…
I'm a 3D generalist, but my main things are 3D character modeling and animation. I've been doing freelance since I graduated, but now I want to gain some work experience at a studio or company who's looking to hire. Also my health insurance is about to expire and I live in a country where I need to have it. I'm currently…
