Working on a Gears of War Lancer Assault Rifle. I'm using the Triforce varient as my reference, I know not as accurate, but i like it a little better in some respects. Comments and Crit's appreciated.
There wouldn't be any sort of bleeding, as their uv's (and corresponding materials/textures) are completely non-respective of eachother. Should be totally fine to select elements/faces, have a seperate material ID for them, and import into engine without artifacting
You have all my respect :D but now i'm curios, do you have any problem with using an old software like XSI ? With problems i mean bugs, plugins support and this kind of stuff.
i didnt meant to say that you needed highpoly models for beauty shots but more to show that you're able to respect the level of detail needed to tranfer real world assets to 3d and so on. Anyway great work.
