i only use a 1280px wide browser on my ultrawide monitors. so i dont care but having it centered will absolutely feel more natural to me. here i an example of my screen. not that its representative. but also on a dual screen layout i'd rather have it centered than squeezed into a corner.

Movies easily use up to 4/8k UDIM tiles. So either you have to use higher res textures or split your UV's over more UDIMs. As far as I know there's only one software package that enables you to continuously texture/paint over multiple UDIMs, and that's Mari 3D. Substance painter supports UDIM tile sets but doesn't allow…
Heck yeah I love pixels. I've had the chance to work for some DS and iPhone games, and darn, that's so much fun! Might be related to how I was exclusively into pixel art before "upgrading" myself to the third dimension... That said, a lot of times a low screen resolution can actually make things look more realistic. You…
It is not possible to make the surface more reflective without increasing the reflectivity (spec map if using the specular workflow). Specular and reflections are not separate material properties like they may be in old school shaders, in a physically based rendering pipeline, and in reality, there is only specular…
Just make the UV's as efficient as possible, by trying to follow some guide lines . As few UV 'islands' as possible. Every seem of the UV, is actually a break in the 3D mesh, creating more vertices in your model. This is hidden from the user, because it would make modelling more difficult, but it is happening under the…
