Hi there, I was wondering, if there is a way in maya to have a decent bevel tool without having to purchase something like NEX. And by decent I mean real time interactivity. Maybe someone knows of a mel script to fix this? That would be really helpful! Thanks
Maybe that's an older version of maya, I don't recall. If you check the history, Maya also deletes the vertex you chamfered, you can delete that history node to get it back. Or use the mel polyExtrudeVertex directly and set the width there.
Though i didn't use maya for years, keeping mel scripts organized and up to date is the same pain as in max. So i'm pretty sure it would be useful there too. By then the ultimate ressource for melscripts was highend3d which is now www.creativecrash.com
So you have lights you want to toggle on and off that affect the baking? You can do light groups. Assign an attribute to toggle if they are in that light group or not. You can manually do it, or make a purdy mel that does it for you.
copying ,scripts, shelfs, hotkeys and marking menus -should- just be a matter of copying over the right folder from your mydocs/maya/8.5/ folder to the machine you're using. Edit - prefs folder holds the hotkeys in a mel file
@steppan Yup this one is only for max as it's an mcr. I think for maya user they can check about a mel script "froTools" and as I remember there is something like an exporter or at least something more advanced than export directly with the basic exporter of maya.
If it's any help, this stuff works fine from standalone python and c#. I don't do Mel, does it handle processes sensibly or are you forced to just send a massive string to windows and hope? (maybe put some extra quotes round it)
I'm afraid I don't know what you mean by "weld the edges". Is there a mel script or something that does that, because I see no tool like that in Maya 2011. Frankly, this bridge tool is a pain in the ass, unlike Modo's which just works.
cheesy title.. anyway thought i might finally pimp my folio to get some comments and feedback i managed to get my first industry gig with it. Its a selection of my best work, some may know that i made a bunch of maps for destiny a long time ago (one of those never released mods ) hope you like it…
Im lvel 63 now, and it's very strange how radically different the difficulties are (depending on your builds). I've decided to go with the bow/magic route, and can slaughter everyone that i can see from a distance, but I get pwnzed when im ambushed around corners. Same with my friends who are pure melee fighters, getting…
