Hey everyone, Been working on a texture for the Imp SDK. The model and unwrap were created by BoBo_the_seal. Unfortunately I don't currently have a functional wacom tablet, so I had to paint everything with a mouse. This was still really fun though and it was great painting practice. I've been meaning to do an SDK for a…
If you're painting, Krita is a good free alternative to Photoshop. There are a few weird UX stuff like the text tool but otherwise it's not anywhere near as bad as gimp in that regard. Oh and uh, as an owner of a Wacom Intuos Pro M... I'd say it's "compatible" with almost anything, you don't have to worry about that.
Yeah get back to work all of you. Some where out there is a 19 year old kid working 18 hours a day to steal your position. no room for complacency. if you must have a holiday then carry your wacom pen in your top pocket at all times( as a sign of defiance)
there's actually affordable tablets that have wacom digitizers in them, like the asus vivotab note 8 and dell venue 8 pro. I'm just learning about this myself, don't know what others have it. Never thought much of tablets but am curious how useful they could be as an artist's tool.
This weekend i started to have the same problems, nothing here works, but when i uninstall my wacom drivers zbrush lauches and closes as normal. Also Zbrush launches when i restart my computer and open it as soon as i can, after i closes it refuses to lauch.
[ QUOTE ] I've not used a Cintiq, so I don't know how the lag compares. [/ QUOTE ] Cintique also lags pretty notably. I used one at a wacom stand at the Annecy animation festival (so I assume they used the best setup to present their overpriced hardware) and the lag was very annoying.
With CC you have either have Windows Ink enabled in the Wacom prefs or you have to change a Photoshop config file to get your pressure sensitivity back. Not really a big deal, but there's really nothing new there that's worth upgrading for imo.
I find sitting in a dark room, cussing, and stabbing my monitor with my Wacom pen helps. Seriously though, slow down and really look at the surfaces and figure out why they look like they do. Is it shiney, dull, smooth, ruff?
Hi Fomori. I've been out of the character art game for a few months now, but your work is great really inspirational. I think I'll be picking up wacom pen again and get zbrushing. Great work keep it up!!
