@Berserker44 - I used the normal thief script to transfer the normal directions of an elongated hemisphere to the foliage. The grass normals were hand edited. -

How to tackle the lowpoly? Just non-uniform scale a sphere primitive. And use a conform tool/script to get the silhouette. Bake the details. -

There are also scripts out there that can recover corrupted .ma files as well. You will have to do some searching on google for one though. -

meh, the game isn't much different than oblivion gameplay wise, so its really just learning the tools and/or scripting needed. -

Hey, I just wrote this in another thread: Might be useful to take a look at that script, it simplifies a lot of things with 3dsmax and skinning/weights.
