@ruebenDodds Thankyou! I use marvelous designer to get a base mesh for my clothes and the props are either made in 3DS Max or just in Zbrush by dynameshing etc :) But then yeah I end up detailing it in Zbrush at the end!
There's some awesome stuff going on there. Granted I'm not the biggest fan of DC and Marvel sculpts (I think it's because there are just so many of them out there). But I can still recognize the amount of talent put into them.
nice job James!!!!!! That must have been some art test you sent them in unreal. I reaaaaly want to see if now! Do we all get free subscriptions for the new Marvel game
Agent Venom! One of my favourite characters from Marvel - Finally got round to finishing him, started him agessss ago for the Comicon Challenge but never managed to meet the deadline!.. Jobs. But here he is complete at last. First PBR character. :)
Hi! I have been working on this for some time. I have learned new things about Marvelous Designer and Xgen along the way and I have continued to refine my workflow for this type of work. Hope you like it! :) Artstation Post: www.artstation.com/artwork/Jlwq60
I have taken the model into Marvellous designer to build a foundation for the clothing. I am struggling with this quite a lot, particularly with making the cloth sit well with the metal rings and overlapping pieces. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Productivity has been up and down lately but I'm working on a new thing! Still really blocky but wrangling something more mechanical and dipping back into Marvelous Designer has been nice. C&C quite welcome!
It's also easier to do cutscenes for mods when cutscenes use in-game graphics. But the WORST in-game cutscenes are the crudely drawn "motion comics" used in Marvel Heroes Online. NEVER do that if you have any choice, please?
It should be pretty good. I've got a GTX 1070 and it's been great so far on Windows 7. Haven't tested with Photoshop, After Effects, and Marvelous Designer but I can get a pretty good number of layers in Mari with it.
Thanks for the feedback I will definitely improve my clothing skills once I have bought Marvelous designer. Also thanks for the link, I've been reading some of their other articles I just haven't got to this one.
