Normally I'm pretty mellow gamer, but sports games bring out the beast in me. Especially ones that try to claim 'realism.' This particular example wasn't something that I did, but I helped make happen i guess, but I had a friend growing up that went all Samson over an NBA Hangtime match and tore a N64 Controller in half...…
Oh I was being condescending, never denied that, but the way he descended on anyone who who was complaining about backwards compatibility or lack thereof was too aggressive and only took his situation into account, so I wanted to take him down a peg ;) But I was referring to his storage options, that was pretty clear. I…
[ QUOTE ] instead of thinking about what you can't do, just identify with what you'd like to have, if you could do absolutely ANYTHING. if you could fucking fly, i dont give a shit. then when you've figgured out what you want, decide what you need to do to change. For me the best option have always been wacom intuos small without screen . It's a sort of convenience when you always see your work as a whole, unobstructed by your right hand, palette and stick in left hand or whatever . Always on a big horizontal IPS screen . No need to bend over in some uncomfortable pose. Had same…
I have clay... lots of it... Getting back into the flow of things with a quick 1 hour creature, dodgy anatomy all over but it was a good exercise to get a feel for real clay again. Rendered in Real Life 2.0 Oh and here is more spam of this guy..
I would like to add more details but unfortunately I don't have time for that. I have baked the model and started laying out the textures now. I really like how this green color works well with gold so I am aiming for this look.
Mostly trim dynamic + clay buildup, maybe a dash of dam_standard and clay tubes. Working in layers was probably the most important thing as it allowed me to easily tweak things without having to redo the whole area. Here are some screengrabs from zBrush:
Hey man! Did you finish that tank? I'm making the same vehicle, and I've got a question: how did you sculpt that surface noise on the turret? Did you use some alpha, or just fiddle with clay/clay buildup etc?
I flattened out the upper back area and re-sculpted it with some of the bone landmarks. I also used clay tubes rather than clay to get a better understanding of the muscles and I haven't smoothed it yet, so tell me if you think this is better.
Thanks! I used clay tubes, planer brush, trim smooth boarder, and trim dynamic with square alpha. Just used the clay tubes to block out the detail, and the planer to clean it up. Then use the trim brushes to make it not so clean and perfect edged.
