For my next game, I'm going to try increase profits by also offering the art content as a package for the Unity store. Two birds one stone kinda thing. The goal artistically is to make a nice looking, hand painted recreation of Bruegel's "wedding dance" painting, while the goal technically is to keep the entire scene…
Thanks! I really appreciate the Conan comparison, I will have to look up some related art and see anything that could help with this piece or the next! I do agree with the stone steps, was wondering if it would look better made out of similar stone, but I was also not sure if I should make a focused path material that…
I'm glad I'm not the only one on this and it's not all in my head. Also I find it interesting that the only game that nobody suspects is Mirror's Edge, which may reveal the overall effect that using Lightmass has on everything. Maybe there's a lightmass setting or two that can be changed to make it run more like Beast.…
Why doesn't he take back the software he bought? Unless he was stupid enough to buy it from a store that doesn't allow returns, or he stole it as well.
Looking at the modular kits I would say the damage may be part of the tiling texture. It looks like they're using a larger trim sheet. At least 2048x2048. The brick is one strip and has the damage worked into it. The modular piece you posted is just modeled and UV well so that the corners line up with the damage. There may…
I love your painting style! :D However I think the colors are not really working. Everything is kindof desaturated and flat, and the whole scene is too monochromatic I think. I feel like you could push what you see in the concept in order for your work to pop out some more. For example, the crates, barrels, and chests…
felipealves hey thanks men. I wanted to add a tree root that break the wall and invaded the room. But after I know myself if I begin like that I will add MANY things ^^. But it was cool idea. Megacorpse : Thank you. I agree I added and I will add some pebble/stone. I don't yet if I made that in the texture or on mesh.…
Thanks Jaxmp! So the direction I wanted to take this piece may differ slightly from the prop, for the important reason being how far I can take a concept, add to it and perhaps add a personal touch. With this one, I wanted to emphasize that it is an ancient shrine, I thought that center piece 'C', not only didn't define…
Changes since last time: - Updated the table and chair meshes and did some vertex painting - Updated the stone tile texture you see by the door, and all wood textures - Added a lighter wood color for contrast on the railing - Updated materials for the bar - Added the rugs with placeholder textures to help with color…
So I've been trying to improve my stone sculpting on a stylized level similar to Fanny Vergne and orb and I was curious what it was that I could do to get the surface detail to more closely resemble Fanny's Surface detail on her stones. Mine: Fanny: I like how she stays stylized but also implements some realism, I've found…
