Proportions look cool. What type of material are you going for? Looks like this guy is generally rock/crystal/lava, etc... The only thing I'm not fond of is the depth of the "fins", I think they maybe make him look to thick from the side. Other than that, I'm digging it.
the blade is coming along nicely, but what kind of material is the yellow stuff? find out what defines this material you are after and you should see what needs to be done.right now it feels like some yellow stone. same with the crystal, whats that? red rubber with wear on the edges?
Crystal Dynamics is looking for a Technical Animator for one of its unannounced next-gen titles currently in production at its studio in Menlo Park at the heart of northern California's Silicon Valley. Title Description: The primary focus of the Technical Animator is designing, implementing, and maintaining animation…
I am comping together a relatively simple scene. A hand drawn background plate with some 3D elements that are animated. The animation done in Maya is very simple. The 3D crystals you see are animating on a turntable and the individual crystal shards are also rotating around at different speeds. The sequence is long, 3,260…
Greetings fellow artists! *Warning: Newbie Alert* Soooo I am assuming this will create some kind of thread-everse where I can update my progress on some 2D art? This illustration series that I am embarking upon will hopefully result in a single female sculpt/rig, that can be fitted with a variety of costumes. But before I…
The rhino and the guitar could use some specular/gloss map contrast to break up the flat surfaces, because right now the materials just look flat and in need of some lovin'. The crystal sword would improve with some of the highlights and colour variation painted in to more prominently define the shapes in the blade (like…
Little background story (keeping it short I hope) I worked as Level Designer at Epic Game on UT2004, than went to school for a while, after that was done, I eventually got to Crystal Dynamics working on TR for 2 years. My Beautiful wife Sharlene Lin got a job down at a vfx company in LA/Santa Monica, lived separate for a…
Vase, flag, and torch are in the scene! Just need to finish the training dummies' and the crystal things inside the cups, and we should be good to start with foliage. I also revisited the textures for the door face, I felt like they were severely lacking so I painted in some highlights and shadows
Do you have any ideas on which sets and heroes will used in it? I would highly recommend you to use radiant heros in radiant team, and dire heros in dire team. And it would be better to use well known enemies like, tide-kunkka, crystal maiden-lina, and so on.
My kid self use to guess what all those pixels looked like back then. Now 20 years later, I get to appreciate the best strategy game ever in crystal clear detail. Amazing job all around to the Starcraft team from a long time fan.
