hey marlfox8 , I see what you mean, and will address both areas on my next round of sculpting. I think its just maybe tricks of the light, and some might just be inacurate anatomy study :) I`ll work on it.
also look at the anatomy of the neck. in the front view it looks like the sternocleidomastodeus (think im writing this right lol) goes in front of the ear. it goes more behind it. And that is how it contributes to making the neck thicker along with the traps and other neck muscles.
Thank you Mossbros! Cool feedback AimBiz! totally forgot to push the neck further back into the hood! yeah need to do some more work on my anatomy/ proportion skills. fixed the neck and tried to do some photo studies..
The face looks like it's gone through an incredible upgrade! Her knees, neck, and back anatomy all really seem to look more on point as well. Really awesome start so far, @karytsukino. Looking forward to seeing your updates
They create concept art and concept design for character usually. Sometimes prop designs are involved. They’re (sometimes) skilled in the following: figure drawing anatomy creature design zoology costume design sewing fashion design still life drawing and panting
how long do you have to work on this? I wouldn't work on clothing yet, the anatomy and proportion is suffering quite a bit. Step down in subdivision and work the proportions and main volumes out. Most of all pay attention to your references.
I have two projects floating over my head for this month but I might try to do a bust for one of these concepts. Technically that's not part of the challenge, but it would just be to show support. Good luck everybody. Be sure to focus hard on anatomy.
Decided to join in on this one since I bailed on the last challenge. I chose the pumpkin guy but went ahead and practiced some base anatomy forms before getting into the actual concept. Here is what I have, all critique is appreciated!
That's a good point. I've spent so much time working on improving my skin texturing and anatomy that I have neglected the rest of the textures a bit. Can you recommend any good resources on creating a variety cloth and metal textures?
If you want a quick start into anatomy that work pretty well, buy the rafael grassetti's gumroad lesson. It's really really great, and the video last for about 20-30min. Just watch em everyday and try to get better, and it'll be ! gl !
