not sure dont know yet that much about the ds- but that quad thingy is interesting .I assume then it doesn´t matter - its just nice for comparison because most engines today only process triangles in the end.
some low poly models for my portfolio engine: key, mouse and mini book model = 62 polys tank = 38 polys pen = 15 polys flowers = 42 polys base book = 14 polys
Tennis : You really should do a 3D game Even on today hardware it should look fantastic , and no problem of frame rate we could have a village of 100 of your character wit hany frame drop Eclipse: cool original style , a level sith some trees or rocks would be great ! What 3D engine do you use ? It seems to be dark basic…
Indecom, if the engine that was to be in supported mip mapping it would look really bad from medium/far away because of the white surface around your alpha mask. Don't use white, always use the average colour of the selection.
Well, time to make my first post on Polycount. Low poly guns for a Quake 2/3 era engine. Details are in the images. I apologize for the length of the post, but I wanted each gun to have it's own image.
Bravefire: Are those viewport shots? If so, you should turn on the option to light the viewport with no lights to get a better look at how it would be like in an engine. Renders of lowpolies tend to look muddy and not do your textures justice.
@Bombshell That looks pretty cool, I'm working pretty much in the same thing :P only that I am aiming to a PS1 looking game in WebGL rather than an engine or something. Good luck with your project :D
I just dont seem to understand what the big fuss is all about, Like,... I put these models in Gamemaker Engine, and they work fine, run fine, and are fine! And now, Excuse me while i go smoke this joint.
Pretty much done the houses, here they are with lighting and in engine. Only the first house has some christmas lights on it. Here are the 'off' houses. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6kvt6QfxFo"]Santas Delivery 2.0 Beta - YouTube[/ame]
@jucarave I probably misused the word engine, its more a framework, but its written in Html5 and webgl too, I'll have to keep an eye on you, see what you pump out, good luck to you too :P
