here is screengrab from my camcorder. i know the ears are off, mine come off of my head a bit more, ears are just a pain in the ass so i am putting it off. it was kinda hard trying to match the perspective of the camera with max's camera.
Starting working on this head. It's the first female head i do, so critc hard Haven't almost work on the texture, just choosing some colors for now: And a wire frame. The polycount got a bit higher than i expected, but this is mainly a texturing and anatomy exercise.
Hey Makk, looks pretty sweet. Yeah I'd try to re-render out your normals with hard smoothing groups on the low poly, especially around the 90 degree bends... unless that's what you did to begin with. Might see you on the sumea comp
[ QUOTE ] here is a head i did for fun a while back [/ QUOTE ] Hell yeah Spug, hadn't seen this one before. I think the inner ear is a bit far out, aside from that, he has a real hard look to 'em. Me likes. :]
Fuse: that bottom lip really has the "Angelina Jolie" look to it. Keep in mind lip have planes to them and aren't big bubbles of skin. You should tuck in that bottom lip a bit and have some semi-hard edges to define where the lip changes.
i apologize for the scene i created. me and suprore ironed stuff out through pm so we're cool. i just haven't slept in a while and have been pushing hard on the model. just got a little frustrated. anyway, MoP and obsti, looking sweet.
[ QUOTE ] A character from one of my favorite books. Hard to find reference of a malamute wearing a Prussian military outfit with prosthetic hands. Lots of work to be done. Major cool points to anyone that knows where this is from btw. [/ QUOTE ] 'Lives of the Monster Dogs' by any chance?
Thanks Heart Murmer. I modeled that in 3dsmax I'm just going to use zbrush to scratch it up. As for tutorials, I don't know of any zbrush ones but if you do a search for hard surface modeling in the technical talk forum you'll find some good threads.
[ QUOTE ] slaught that is looking very nice, i could tell at a glance that you are making a battle toad, me likey! [/ QUOTE ] Arrggh, I wanted to post the answer first. Me loves Battle Toads (couldn't ever beat the über-hard NES game though).
looks cool there chris, fun lighting setup too. everything has a bit of a heavy-handed black outlined look though - is that intentional? I could easily see that fitting with the style of the game, if that's the case. hard to tell if there's a lot of black linework in the diffuse textures, or if it's coming from the normals.
