i attached a quick Blenders geometry node example that packs all same mat ID UV islands in sort of automated style as rows. it uses material id index to shift UV in U direction each in 1 . I meant that AO is usually done as a separate texture or texture channel. Because you shouldn't see any AO on pixels illuminated by direct sun light for example , only in shades . yeah doing that fancy method creates and extra row of polys, which I then have to manually delete. was a real pain in the ass the next stage to to make any new cars i make subd 1 then add the panelling/detailit will then be just about smooth looking :/
I want to know that, because I am searching multiple sites and basically 0. So I bother to do them from photos and them seamless tile them, but still,... I don't want to do them in 1 software with tons of procedurals. I want it to be portable textures.
