very cool concept ind.!! but about the diffuse-lightning: would be interresting to see how this would effect the look under different light positions bc. he only painted the highth and downs, so there is no real light-sorce
So I'm working on a PDW for and inde project. This is obviously going to go all the way with fp, tp, lod models & animation. Will be using CryEngine3. C&C welcome. The concept I'm working from: The High poly model. Starting low poly work tomorrow.
we are looking to make a 4x4 km bit of terrain, preferably generated. what tools do other indies use/would use for this application? I have my eye on world creator at the moment, is this what we should use?
Sometimes you can do a search for "-1.#QNAN" or "-1.#IND" (without the quotes of course) and just replace with 0.0. It won't bring back stuff, but if you're file is so bad that it crashes on load it can get it back to a point where it'll load back up.
Are you using maya ascii? You should since sometimes things like this can be saved. If you are, load in up in a text editor and do a search for "-1.#QNAN" or "-1.#IND" and if you find and replace the each with "0.0". That's not always the problem but it's pretty common in scenes that crash on loading.
haha, it goes both ways. You can blacklist a company just as easy as they can you =) If a comp dumped me unfairly i would never work for them, or anyone of that management again. Id also make absolute sure they were never highered by anyone I knew. It really is a small ind, so fairness goes a long way =)
