Hm might be misunderstanding, but if you are looking for environments or 3d vs 2d you can filter the feed to specifically only show 3D Environments, or are talking about adding the same filtering for the search function? I do agree that the search function could use some more settings and filters. -

That's why you're running into this issue. The minimum requirements for 3DO include a GTX 600 series video card for it to function correctly. It isn't designed to work with an integrated chipset like the processor you're using as a display device. Unless you're able to use a video card, 3DO will unfortunately not function… -

Using an Editable Poly, if it's along a flat surface, under the "Edit Geometry" rollout you can use the X,Y, or Z functions to align a selection along a certain axis. Some of the new Graphite tools have some really great functions for straightening and aligning edges correctly as well. -

I for one dont really like bodypaint that much, it just seems a little clunky (probably just me being biased towards software i have more experience with though..) Mudbox- Current gen/next gen its great.. can paint on all channels of your maps (normals, spec, diff, gloss, bump etc) really nice set of tools and brush sets.… -

Other nodes cover a wide range of functions but it may just be that you can't quite do what you want with what's available. Maybe it's an unusual shading model or something. So the code node allows you to directly write code to get new functions and expand your shader toolbox. -

Great post Gauss, that's the same way I try to look at a concept - form follows function, and try and make the function as interesting as possible A character always looks better when people can get a sense of its history and background just by examining the details. Nice start Askhat, keep it up -

and you dont like bridge or the shift+move edge method - because thats how I quickly wrap up meshes. There should be even some close caps or close hole functionality similar to the silo`s fill hole functionality which can speed up face creation as well. -
Maya's "Select by element" equivalent in max ?
so yeah, is there an equivalent in max ? there's the "select element" tick box in the UV editor, but it's only usable within the unwrap modifier, not for the geometry. I'd like the same thing in editable poly sub-object, like the ' grow' function' but automatically expanding to the whole corresponding UV element. You would… -

Hey, I'm working in maya, and I'm pretty much wondering if there is a function for edge loops/verticies that does the same thing as relax UV's? I have a few edge loops on my model that are a bit wonky, and while I can go in and rework them all that takes a lot of time for something that should be a relatively simple…
