@BagelHero Thank you a lot for the feedback, cant express how much I appreciate it! I did some refinement, mostly based on what you drew for me! This is where it is now: What is the next step? I ask for your patience, but this is a big learning experience for me and next project wont require so much eye opening I hope! :)
Hi Ramrok! If you want to have a mesh in 3do while working with Ndo you need to use the custom loader. Its located in the main toolbar option menu, just click it and select "open 3do custom loader" Select your mesh and if you want, link the current project as a texture. That way you will see your normal map on your mesh :)
So I'm working out how it all fits together in multiple views and how the cover of the iron maiden would connect to fiddlesticks. I think bolting the door onto him is the wrong way to go since I want fiddle himself to be the iron maiden. Any who going to experiment with hinges and where the door actually opens up next.
@FuzzyOwl Im not quite sure I see the error in the image you attached but if it is a baking error as you say, try setting the smoothing group to 1 for all the polygons in tn the low poly before baking, that usually solves my baking problems. If the error persists maybe open your maps in photoshop and try to locate and blur…
Whee... This is going to take a while to get right. @MrKamikaze Those eyes are freaky! Also, how do you plan to tackle that scarf? It seems to get kinda weird near the end where mouth is and suddenly goes from a single sided thing where you can see exposed pink insides/belly to, well, a creature with a mouth that can open.
Here's a quick screenie of what is actually happening, 3DO does not display a mesh once it opens as it doesn't like my custom meshes, and when switching over to one of the default ones I am presented with these strangely sub surface looking meshes that do not use the DDO generated textures, no matter how many times I use…
changes seem kinda drastic. However, don't we get a cut from each "key" (or chest opening) opposed to when each set sells? This might ensure everyone accepted gets a decent payout, opposed to one guy making massive bank and others getting just a little. I mean... I'm just guessing, but it seems right.. maybe?
thanks duncan. been fleshing out some more ideas on where I want to take her. still playing with forms and open to any suggestions. The big thing I need to keep in mind is how freaky her animations are. The joints need to bend every which way which may be terrifying if I make her too human haha
Hey there! Your images don't show up on forum, yet somehow I managed to open one. My advice- you should pick one, concrete light source. The light you've created seems to come from everywhere and nowhere, it isn't as dynamic as it should be. Personally I think you should work on it, can't say much more for now
You simply download an albedo texture, open it in Photoshop, adjust it to your liking, export it with sRGB color profile (in the save dialog) and import it into your game engine. In the engine you will find option to tag your texture as either linear or sRGB. There is no need to apply a 2.2 levels adjustment layer in…
