At first I was skeptical, but now I like it a lot. Good work. Just one question: how did you add the glow to the sword? I did two Juggernaut swords and failed to make them glow.
I have to practise this but it's ok now . I've tried painting weapons (swords etc.) but I just can't. Could anyone explain it for me? I've been watching tutorials for hours but i doesnt helps. This is the sword :
hi, well done sword, i feel the spikes above the sword handle look though still little off balance to the rest of the piece, i think it can help to adjust the curve or size. keep it up
Good start. But I recommend that you import your sword in UDK now and check how textures look in engine. So in case you won't finish your helmet, you'll have sword, completely ready to upload.
Whoops almost forgot his trusty buster sword. Just some good old fashioned box modeling here. Was pretty fun working on it. Forgot to mention Cloud is sitting at 57467 tris, and the buster sword at 2,684 tris.
Yes you are right, the sword is a bit dark and I wanted to have that particle effect that abaddon swords have, the bluish purple glow on the blade. I also knew the handle wouldn't be visible :( . Thank you for the feedback, it helps!
Today's stuff! Made a sword, just as a sort of clutter prop, I donno, people leave swords lying around in this village. And textured the rock fence I aim to avoid doing any work during the weekend, but we'll see.
I really like this character, nice job. As for crits, try tweaking the pose on the hands. The right hand doesn't look like its holding the sword very well, maybe adjust the position of the thumb and how the sword fits into the hand.
just gorgeous, never knew batman could look so old-world lol to me though, the sword seems kind of misplaced, everything else is so detailed but the sword, i dunno doesn't feel like it belongs to me
Perfectly valid and well said. I think people are a little too worried about wasting their time doing what doesn't work. So worried, perhaps, that they easily forget that most of what does work comes from eliminating what doesn't. Think about sword styles back in the day. When the first dudes forged swords, do you think…
