@Simon_____ Oooh.. you're using the built in renderer. I was assuming you'd be using marmoset or unreal, sorry. In that case I think you can probably add an opacity channel to the textureset to, and do it the same way, but i'm not sure what kind of opacity Substance Iray supports.
Bingo. It's all about self-motivation. Good teachers can be a great asset, but only to a dedicated student. I feel sorry for teachers in the States. The prevailing attitude among parents, administrators, and legislators is that the teacher is (somehow) to blame for the masses of lacsidasical students. It's almost become a…
Thank youteodar23 You are right that this may not be the forum indicating, I am still adapting. My intention is have feedback on modeling and texturing, but it is true that I created this to be able to teach this as a portfolio. Thanks for the response and I will be able to see some photos of the project. And sorry for my…
Hmm not quite sure what is causing this. First thing that comes into my mind is the merge vertex operation in the script, but that one works on a 0.01 value, which is super small. Can you send me your mesh (or just a part of it) for me to try it on ? Thanks and sorry for the inconvenience ! :/
Well! It's been two weeks and Gnomon still hasn't contact me after several attempts to contact them. I think I'm considering this thing mine now, lol. Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but I thought I'd update it and put it to bed. Thanks Gnomon! <3

i like the efford alot, i made a little drawover in photoshop how i`d actually build the mesh if i was you. sorry for the noisy edgeflow, its freaking cold in this room somehow and i shiver :/ red would be deleted and green are my tweaks. - Rick.
Sorry, totally miss understood what you were saying. I've just gotten so sick of constantly hearing people talk about how physical media needs to die off that I see it as the default argument most people are trying to make in these sorts of topics :-/
It's been a long while guys, sorry about the delay but here is my small fly-through. C&C are welcome this is my first portfolio piece that I will be adding to later on thanks! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PtTNNU4uio&feature=youtu.be Wires/breakdowns later today
Your lp model looks good, but I don't see where you spend 28k tri. General rule is that if geometry not change general shape, should be baked to normal. It is skill make good looking model at 10-15k tris. Sorry for my bad English ;)
