I'm working on a low poly, hand-painted shield from blizzard concept art. My pipeline is ZBrush>Maya>3D-Coat>Photoshop>UE. I'm currently in 3DCoat, C&C always welcome
It's pretty silly honestly, asking for unpaid work. You don't ask a contractor to do a wall framing test, you hire them and they do it. Blizzard wanted me to do an unpaid art test, but with their reputation, I don't think they are in the position to bargain.
http://www.videogameslive.com/index.php?s=home anyone intersted ? the trailer was interesting go to "what is vgl" section and look at the clips on the bottom. Blizzard music sounds especially fantastic with a live chorus... Metal Gear Solid should sound great too
Mmm.. lemmi throw a few ideas in too then. Blizzard/Diablo/Starcraft The Witcher Warhammer Fantasy/40k DC/Marvel Kingdoms of Amalur just some ideas, hope this continues.
Good to be back for another year! My theme this time around is all about Blizzard characters in their daily lives. "A Day in the Storm" so to speak, har har First two
Blizzard always inspires me with their amazing art style. So this time I choose to model 'Jastor Gallywix' based on Mark Gibbons concept.
I hope you like it.
Looking good! I would suggest lightening it up - a lot of blizzard card backs are brighter and more colorful, your shapes are a little too chopped up when looking at it in greyscale. The wood looks great!
Speed drawings on the youtube, Warhammer Podcast. I havent settled my idol artist(s) yet because I am not at that pro level in 2d and 3d, but whenever I will, I will pick Blizzard, Or GameWorkshop
I can't sub-d model for crap. I've been doing hand painted stuff most of my career and recently moved on to the baked diffuse workflow that Blizzard and other companies have been using.
I got a whole box of stuff, not everything that was promised though, but I'm not complaining, I didn't join the contest because of the prizes. Because of UC I'm living in California now working at Blizzard! Thanks Fred!!!!!
