Hi. Can anyone help me on how to create this kind of texture animation? Will this be possible in maya? thank you https://www.artstation.com/artwork/vDJ0Q6
another way you might use is select an edge that is at a right angle to the loop, hit ring instead of loop, and use connect. then you can choose how many loops to add edit: bronco, do you need the chamfer when the connect tool can specify the number of loops to add?
When using SwiftLoop, one thing you can do is insert the loop and then ALT+DRAG the loop afterwards. Depending on which side you drag towards, the loop edges will align to the edges on that side of the loop. Err, that sound confusing but it's super intuitive when you get used to it. Give it a shot...
Edited the topolgy and cut out some loops. Thanks for the feedback @junkiekong ! Originally I had the single loops with the fingers because Project: Ekko 's skin only had a single loop ( https://www.artstation.com/artwork/m1Yy9 ) but I went ahead and added extra loop since it wouldnt hurt ;)
I want to have more edge loops in some areas, while having less in other areas. How to you go about that while maintaining good topology? For example, here is a car I'm modeling. I only need to have about 5 edge loops for the hood, but I want more for the fender. The font of the car also requires alo't of edge loops, but I…
Istonia: It slides surrounding loops towards and away from the selection. It's perfect for tweaking the hardness of sub-d edges! If you have one loop selected it moves the surrounding two loops in or outwards. If you have two loops selected side by side, it does the same thing as if there was another edgeloop inbetween…
this looks pretty cool! are there some videos to show how the tools work? is that a target weld in your tools? your target weld work like in max? does your edge loop button allow you to select poly loops as well as edge loops...or could we request a poly loop button?
