Hey all, This is the second project of my Masters degree in Game Art (the time frame of which is 6 weeks). I am currently working on a Japanese Bakery focusing on a more rustic decor inspired by Studio Ghibli, Tokyo Storefronts (By Mateusz Urbanowicz), among other things (see below! :D ) It is set in modern day during the…
I honestly don't really think I could actually compete with the massively talented and hardworking artists here but I think I could get some really valuable feedback. So I'm a Nami one trick that happens to draw periodically. I like pretty much all of her skins except koi. The general aesthetic of it is nice but, when I…
Sexy! I went in today pretty blind so here is what i got. Ikaruga Puzzle Bobble 4 D2 Cool Cool Toon Power Stone Egg Mr driller And two games I can't translate. One...looks like The japanese version of Die Hard the arcade? And the other is another Treasure Shmup looking thing.. where the cover is of a Gundam clone chasing a…
I'm gonna go ahead and say that Finnish beats it by a long shot.. probably the ugliest language in the world :poly122: I started studying Japanese for the same reasons as you frell.. one year I spent just studying by myself whenever I had some spare time (busrides, shower...:poly136:), then I moved there for 2 years.. now…

I noticed that in usual FF games it doesn't take more than a few hours to level to 10. This version its taken me 7 hours to reach lvl 10. I'm sure the Japanese version didn't have this sudden "look here a chest" or "look here someone you can chat too". The American release seems like its been noob'ifed for anyone to pick…

Not necessarily indie game design, but I think still can be relevant if a person wants to model after a Japanese game company. http://www.gamasutra.com/view/feature/130043/working_in_japanese_game_.php For art direction I discovered a video featuring Michel…
Hey So its been awhile since i posted an update. Been busy with Japanese lessons and Life drawings most evenings which has taken up most of my time. Now i have finished my Japanese lessons its time to get back to doing art! So i think i am done with the sculpt (apart from feedback changes.) Iv done some generic cloths…
If you like both of 'em the consoles still provide more great games and more variety in genres (perhaps because japanese devs almost never make PC games?) than the PC while the PC often provides more longetivity per title (mods!) and some superior solutions (save anywhere, freely configurable controls, mouselook, etc).
haha dude they told me to look into the cam, i asked if an interview partner would be better? oh well next time i pretend there is someone else and talk to him! It's a fun project and really cool to work with japanese people, thats some sort of culture i really am not in touch with at all, so it's a real cool challenge for…
