at this stage i would recommend blocking in colour; it'll help with grouping details and getting proportions right; you can drag your concept in as a texture, apply it to a plane, then colour sample the texture (shortcut c) and go from subtool to subtool, rbg > fill
just a quicky paint over :) sorry, it would be nice A: to draw the eye down the hall way, so i blew out the light on the door, and added the zombie shadow.. you told me you were gonna do that B: Lowered saturation on wood, C: Yellow push cart thing.. NEX is baddass. Their messing with the controls alot in the betas, but for v1 the controls are (sense theirs no readme afaik): Selection: full loop/ring = select edge/vert/poly and ctrl+shift double click on non-adjacent one. partial loop/ring = select edge/vert and ctrl+shift double click on adjacent one. Other = Edge…
I dug up an old post from a blog that I no longer maintain (shame on me). I think it is relevant to the topic, so I'll just paste it here: I have come to find that drawing is an indispensable tool no matter what medium you intend to work in. Use it to make notes, to examine different ideas, and to flesh out problem areas…

I am new to 3d modeling [finally figured it out about a few weeks ago] and I've already fallen madly in love with low poly models. I will be putting up…
i have done a quick paint over on your spec map. Since i dont have your neat little inram model, i just applied the texture on a plane. I used your specmap, as shown one post above as diffuse and the modified spec map, obviously as spec. (if you don't see a picture: http://www.abload.de/img/specmapim09i.jpg) As you see,…
[ QUOTE ] No one was arguing that these statements were civilized, they are just saying that it's part of freedom of speech. I understand what you're saying, and I'd love everyone to be more civilized. Unfortunately, it seems too many people these days are uncivilized. I think the point most people in this thread were…
@wilson66 As far as I understand with the tweak tool you mean click and drag, right? I usually use G most of the time. If it is click and drag, shouldn't it just work when you just keep the left mouse button pressed once you selected the last item? Second question: If your mesh already consists of triangles, then not…
No Xnormal bakes it but bakes only Vcolors , I mean while Zbrush I see nice slight light shades, shadows, etc in Xnormal just bakes a flat color map and what's more annoying seems quite pixellated , for the actual size I am using 4096x2048 I expected to be much more sharp and clean .... for the inzbrush drag rectangle…
