Follow up to previous post. Many thanks to pxgeek for the suggestions that basically made it possible for me to render my ZBrush sculpts using the matcaps I had created for the job. By removing the alpha that was in the Surface Bump Texture, setting Canvas Bump Scale from 100 to 1 and lowering my bump from 0.6 to 0.02, the…
Unions do a lot more than call strikes. For example, the electrician's union, IBEW, has a market recovery fund. Every member of the union pays a small percentage of their wages into the fund. The market recovery fund is used to help union contractors (companies that hire union employees) to bid on jobs. This allows the…
It's possible, it's just expensive. When you have 100 opaque objects, you just find and deal with the one which is in front. When you have 100 translucent objects, you have to put 100 objects in order, then deal with each of them in turn. I don't know if there are any particularly elegant solutions for that kind of thing…

Every mesh gets triangulated in engine at the end. Identify the use case, if its a nanite mesh then decimated mesh is absolutely fine given it is within acceptable tri budget and tri distribution and has proper uv. For non nanite workflow, yes you will still have to optimize the geometry properly to be acceptable however…
