Ok now that i've stared at it for awhile, and gotten over the initial shock of its badassery. I would say the only crit i have on the soldier guy is his feet dont seem to match his perspective. I would make it so that you can see more of the top of the feet, and have them in more of a perspective view...and not so much…
I realized that nothing in my portfolio really shows that I can work in the "mainstream style" of next gen games, so I started this guy. Trying to get closer to the realistic badassery going on in games like gears of war and lost planet. I drew up the concept a bit more cartoonish that I wanted, but I liked the design…
So much badassery everyone o-o Ericelwell, its looking cool! howevery I feel like its missing the movement and dynamism of the previous compositions. Possibly because they feel like they are at the same level? Off topic, I also love your paintings :o .
I thought it was absolutely brilliant! Definitely one of the best marvel films to date because it sure as hell doesn't take itself so seriously! Great jokes, some serious boner inducing VFX and just overal badassery. Totally recommended! Also, Joss Whedon is god.
I'd like to request some kinda robot. I don't think I've seen you do a robot yet. Also, this is pretty alright. As it's just ZB you should try playing with the sss and lighting stuff a bit, see if you can't get get some schmancy lighting going on. Also the third sentence was sarcastic. -edit- Ironman doesn't count. I mean…
The badassery of the artwork here only gets better and better :D just wanted to share a WIP of my new project for my studio, thought it would be cool to just throw it up on here. Just a Keyshot render from Zbrush to see how it looks so far. Hope you guys like it.
Well, money bullshit aside. I hope to see some kickass art from fellow polycounters. I'm not in a position to participate myself, but it has been a joy throughout the years to see what you guys come up with and I'm really itching to see more badassery. Good luck to all involved!
So I decided to keep going with the first option, personally I think it would fit her back story and warrior badassery most! Here's an update of a more refined and colorized version. I also included some small breakdown for easier model tasks. Color version Head Breakdown Some armor pieces
that was total badassery its funny to see how relatively lowpoly his models are. its all shader and lighting. oh man , thats the first time ive seen someone work in after effects (im assuming thats it?). blows my mind how you can take a straight up bland render and completely transform it.
Damn dude, this looks stunning. The level of detail in the props is incredible. As others mentioned though I think this could add even more badassery through a different look at your composition/focal point. As it is - my eyes get spread thin with so many pools of 'dark'. Ace work though man - keep it up!
