Weird... The OBJ imported and was horribly messed up like you showed, but it all magically cleaned up when I applied edit poly. I'm using 2011 and it might be a bug in 2010 that 2011 fixes automatically when it analyzes meshes. If that doesn't work try applying a Turn To Poly modifier and check on "keep polys convex" that…
