Since Substance Painter 2.5 you can actually specify the normal format in the user data (via the color space) of your normal channel : https://support.allegorithmic.com/documentation/display/SPDOC/User+data This way there is no need to change the color space in the interface of Substance Painter.
I try to stick to racing and platform games with my 2 sons (2.5 & 4.5 years). There are enough fun games that don't involve much violence or at least realistic looking violence. These days Lego Star Wars II co-op rules my Xbox.
I just downloaded musagi after reading a bit about it in a recent tigsource post. Haven't really made my way around the interface properly, but it seems pretty full-featured for what it is, and it's completely free (Reaper is $50 for non-commercial, $225 for commercial, and not free).
I have been working on the low poly and combining objects. I am at around 24k right now and plan to go down further in the next day or so. I am attempting to make this so I will be able to rig it later, is there anything I should know for that?

i actually used my rock tools on a 2.5 canvas, i then generated a displacement map with a grabdoc, in order to export a high poly mesh and bake an ambient occlusion map through xNormal =) (my workflow involve many uses of the ambient occlusion and the cavity map as masks)
