Hello everyone! Currently I'm interested in 3D character art for videogames, so I've been practicing modeling and I would like to improve. I see, it's only useful as a time saver, not a resources saver, you end up with a whole ton of textures as well but it's faster to apply to models... Very useful for film and vfx but no so much for environments in videogames (i think trim sheets and tileable textures are the real heroes there) Thanks! -

Fox New's demographic tend to be older, republican, religious, white people. Which tend to get scared easily..and i think want to get scared easily? So of course they are gonna watch a channel that tells them what to be afraid of. And videogames and gay people are two things they are afraid of. -

That was actually quite funny...don't see why it would be banned though, I mean...seriously...the ESRB rating for this if it appeared in a videogame would be like E... its a bunch of people playing pretend wargames, using finger guns, imaginary grenades, and shotguns, going "bang" to indicate a hit. -

fritz: I think Ninjas is talking about copyright issues, not aesthetic. I've used stuff I've found for personal work on occasion, but I always heavily paint into photos. Personally however, I would not take the risk of using anything I found on the internet in a commercial videogame. -

No, just the opposite. I'm saying that the 3d videogame industry draws inappropriate bodies and demonstrates by and large faulty understandings of anatomy and character design. Men and women alike are most often completely nonfunctional and do not read as the roles they're intended for, because most people seem to not know… -

Started playing this last night. It's stunning. Art direction, textures, sense of scale, everything. Amazing. I've not played HL1 but this is brilliant. So much dialogue too hah, love throwing stuff at peoples heads to hear their reactions :D Also best fire in a videogame ever. -

My girlfriend is not an artistic person nor a videogame player, although the Wii has her coming around. She supports me 110% at what I do and laughs at my extreme nerdiness. It's a great thing really and one of the reasons why I love her so.
