And use the forum descriptions to add a real description perhaps? Also, Pimping and Previews is the header for 3 subforums, would "Artwork Discussion" not be a better main heading? "Work opportunities" is a good main header for the 3 job forums for example.
I'm curious. The product page has an example normal map. It does indeed look cleaner but it's also missing some of the detail from the max generated map. It would be nice to see some samples of a complex organic object.
Faucet, now that's a better "next gen" example. I've been using that method for years, for wrinkling clothing, but never in real time. Snowfly, most games that use bone animation support non-uniform scale, move, and rotate.
http://www.clanserver4u.de/index.php?site=4 Scroll down to 'Booking Server' it is in German, and they only accept PayPal, but you can even get a server for one hour only. For example 3h with 12 players would cost 1.75.
Does game character must have one texture for all LODs or each LOD must have separate texture and different UV Layouts ? For example we have three LODs, as a result we need 3 different UV-mappings and 3 diffuse textures for each LOD ?
Just a quick question here. Is it better to us up all the space on a uv map or maintain even texel density? I thinking of an example like a barrel where you have one big piece and two ends that don't take up that much room.
I've had some bad experiences with the cut tool in previous versions of max producing bad geometry (2 verts in the same spot for example).I was wondering how many of you are using the cut tool with a current version of max and if you've had any problems?
Is it possible to have 1 computer have both Windows 7 and Windows 10? For example: Have Windows 7 installed on Internal SSD A, and have Windows 10 installed on Internal SSD B? (Would this not work because of the C drive might conflict?) Thank you.
That sounded way more fancy then I wanted it to, but I've been searching if there was a way to identify what layer your mouse was over with a push of a button? I've attached an example of what I was thinking. If anyone has any information on this or something like it, that'd be super duper.
Hello there! I have a trouble with texel density. For example, there is a model of railway car(wagon) 9x3 meters and i need to set its texel level to 300 px/meter. I know what it mean, but i cant figure it out. So how to set it on my uv?
