wee bump. Any brits that were thinking of importing a cheaper (but still too bloody much) 12"er from the states. The power brick is multi voltage (100-240) so all you would need to do is replace the american 3 pin power cable with a standard uk PC/kettle lead. Mine arrived today. Sailed through customs without a problem… -

actually i am using a 2 year old laptop. 2.14 ghz 2 gigs of ram and a nvidia 6600go. its at a level 6 subdivision, and i can go up to 7 but things get really slow. zbrush cares more about memory than anything else, so if you really want to push the polies around get tons of RAM. thanks guys i hope i finish too, last few… -

There is some good advice in this thread! AGP is dead, all the old Intel/AMD sockets are dead, DDR is dead, so just wait until you have the money to get a decent AM2 or Socket 775 mobo and a decent intel/amd proc. DDR2 RAM is actually significantly cheaper anyway, so you will save some money there. Whenever the newest… -

yep sure was.. ask poop he seen it..i wasnt doing anything to the model besides rotating it around.. but did no prob.. and with the centrinos its not like comparing a pentium 1.8 or an athlon.. i think the going conversion is something like add 30% to that number.. so a centrino running at 1.8 ghz is like 2.5 gzh… -
