Noors : I'm not exactly in Nantes (30 kms south), but for the price you pay, I rent a 115 sqm house with 300 sqm garden :D and I'm 1 hour drive from the ocean. But yeah Nantes is a very nice city, I go there quite often.
Godspeed Sir Poopinmymouth, we shall meet in the year of the lord 2007. I wish you only the best conditions on your long and dangerous journey to the world across the ocean. Be aware of the danger so you may circumscribe it and arrive here for (cheese)pizza and (cheese)beer this january.
Ah, thanks so much for pointing those things out and mentioning the anti-aliasing tip! And yeah, I was totally unrealistic in making something that clean/shiny at the bottom of the ocean. It was fun, though! I'd be interested to see any seaweed you paint, if you ever decide to do that and post it.
Didn't Cameron just come back from, oh I don't know, going to the deepest (that anyone else has been) part of the known ocean? What an amateur! Totally the wrong kind of spirit you'd need at the head of an ambitious project like this. /Warning: This post may contain sarcasm.
Going back to smaller things in modeling. Made some small paper lanterns and a "ocean" and im trying vray as well. Had someone help me correct the saved image with the gamma and it looks much better now! Now Im looking for advice on improving the scene in any way possible here instead of tech talk.
Decided to load up my illustration too) My idea is about Nami from the Shadow Isles: cold unfriendly waters, lost souls and, of course, terrifying mermaid from the ocean depths) Hope you like it) Pose and color references Some WIPs decided to change her pose a bit and almost finished
You have a great style going on here! How is this scene coming along? Maybe you could add some debris and junk in the water, or ropes and fishing nets hanging over some of the buildings. Flags and other elements that would be affected by the wind on the ocean would be a nice addition perhaps.
Hi everyone, this is my first thread on here, I'm currently making a harbor town environment in UDK. The general idea is that it is an old town slowly being dragged into the future. I've taken a little inspiration from the Unreal Samaritan demo. Any comments/feedback would be much appreciated! Thank you to Al Hasan for the…
2/. Ocean Shader. The big deal is the waves. I tried to achieve it with dynamic tessellation, but it squeezed my PC so badly. World position offset is not so bad for this situation. [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3gyQPKCJJg"]UDK 201305-15 04-35-43-20 - YouTube[/ame]
