Selection highlighting can be flaky though, I was getting it highlighting the back of the model. I think this helps the widget work a bit like the widget in silo. Its certainly quick and usefull. http://boards.polycount.net/showpost.php?p=1004546&postcount=17 -

Eh, I tried it earlier with results as I'd have expected (using Max 14 and the 2014 FBX). But prompted by your reply I just tried it with Max'17 and their newer FBX exporter and yup - it transfers colors-by-face alright. Awesome! -

Look into the XPS workstation you can get one for about 1000 to 1300 and I think that includes a 17" to 20" monitor as well. Also check out the dell outlet sometimes you can find kick ass deals on PC's there. -

Something I’ve been experimenting with for my MA Project, Analytic Simulated Shaders with distance fields for Interactive Ambient weather effects (Blowing leaves etc).i.e the sprites are not particles but a single static mesh. Based on @ ShaderBits 17 talk from GDC. -

@Blouko well let's pretend the budget is not a big problem to me haha. I just need something convenient and do the job, no fancy design required. Just something huge and strong. 17 inches is maximum? Any monitor comes in larger size? -

Since the shows only got a set amount of episodes left, they are wrapping stuff up IIRC there's only something like thirty episodes left. Seventeen for this season in total, and 17 for the last season. I'm waiting on them to jump back to the dinosaurs.. :D -
