Working in balsa wood is pretty easy. You can cut it with a razor blade. Basicly you have 2 options here: 1. Buy a 4 - 6mm thick balsa wood board and simply cut your bow design out of it then use sandpaper to smooth its edjes (should take about 5 mins to do). Added a medallion, made a glove out of his hand, belt hook, thigh wraps, leather padding area to the cassock, and a bunch of tiny tweaks. Also adjusted the light setup in TB, bit more contrasty I think. Now its done. and I can get to low poly and bakes... Unless I take a break or get distracted -

Looks like a lot of indenting of normals, so perhaps some kind of "painting" of normals that wrap around the arms might be the best course without modeling, just using a "base", then adding the inner indents.
