Thank you Eric I haven’t set a specific triangle budget since this is just a personal project and I’m still learning. The piece will be fairly close to the camera, so I’d like it to look good while keeping the poly count as low as possible. As for animation, yes — I’d like it to have a bit of movement to make it feel more…
I played through the level a couple of times. It has the makings of a very solid platformer with some top notch art, but it has a little ways to go yet. Ace Angel brought up much of what I was going to say, particularly in terms of the readability of the environment, what you can and can't jump on and the like. It's…
Hey I've been thinking of making a game now for a while, and I'm gonna give it a try. I'm not a random guy who likes playing games and now wants to make some, even though this is going to be my first post take it serious. About the game: The game wont have any narrative design which would prevent lots of works in documents…
Thinking about making some models to put up for sale on TurboSquid and I was curious if anybody else here has done so, and what their experiences were. - What subjects usually get the most sales? - What type of models tend to sell better? (realtime vs hi poly) - How long do sales usually take to trickle in? - Is there any…
I would be very much interested in how you got it to work! I gave up and just used my browser's user token, which for some reason works just fine with the documented API. Currently writing a script to download every asset on the site. I would also be especially curious to know if you got refresh tokens working -- the…
I had downloaded/important the Post Processing Stack from the asset store and enabled it on the camera, was all good. Later on I had deleted and created another camera, from this moment on this Post Processing Stack just couldn't be enabled. Even when restarting, deleting and reimporting etc. See, nothing there. It appears…
Trees, foliage, lighting model, consistency of environment art assets = wonderful! The most generic soldier/costume designs I've ever seen in a game = not so wonderful. Also after watching the videos I can't figure out if it's meant to be realistic or arcadey. The weapons and player movement all feels like they're shooting…
Personally, I would rather adjust the scope or the subject. What environment are you going for? Perhaps just start a thread and document your idea. If it turns out too ambitious, there's surely a way to re-scope or pivot.
@pior I will definitely try that! Didn't think of that as an easy way to offset some of my movement to my left hand, but that will go quite a long way  Thank you!
