Honestly, everything but the skull is working for me. I would look at an anatomical drawing of a skull, model it front and sideways, then plop it halfway into the gun. It doesn't need to be exactly precise, but you're missing the forms that are the hallmarks of the human skull.

Valve has tendency to not accept submissions with skulls or gore since they cant be used on the chinese client. Im not sure if it affects you since its a animal skull but you might need to do a 'low violence' version without skulls.
