The detailing on the clothing/armour is good, but the organic bits don't match up in terms of detail. Try to focus on the face, and sculpt some good detail there, and use that experience to 'flesh-out' the rest of the skin. good work so far!
Cheers Brett! animatr yesh I did, I was a senior poly pusher working on the human and alien heads, iconic hero and villain, the spaceship and some of the clothing and Armour. Worked with an awesome team and had lots of fun on the project
Im' looking for someones private stock of mud textures suitable for texturing such things as armoured vehicles. Different varieites of mud is welcome such as red clay, dark and mid tones from central europe and russia. Also good dirt for tank weels and treads id available. Thank you in advance.
This one, used in a school game project called Words Of Power. A spellcasting game where this mug was the main foe. Adding shaman masks, body paint, shields, weapons and armour made him a different foe. I only saved the helmet since the other things turned out too crap to show.
Primaris Captain in Phobos Armour. This miniature has a lot of different assets and textures/materials so wanted to copy it and learn from the original. Great fun to do and hopefully I got pretty close to the original. Let me know what you think.
Presentation and materials look better. The one point that strikes me most is how boxy the vehicle is, yet the doors look quite thin. Normally on armoured cars there is some bulking around the windows. The interior looks quite spartan too. I like the texturing.
If you mean redundant geo that is hidden under clothes, then yes. If parts of the naked character will never be seen underneath clothing /armour/etc, then it makes no sense to keep the geo. It is wasteful, unnecessary, and could become a skinning nightmare as well as a headache to deal with penetrating geo.
Hey guys some armour progress today with an extract blockout and some Zremesh to clean them up real quick as for my next task I will be cleaning and moving the forms around on the separate pieces attached to the suit. Feedback is always welcome as always! o/
hey, thanks for the crit, i will lengthen the arm slightley. As for the armour, i was going for a batman like skin suit, and am currently messing in mudboz to achieve just that. I might add something like a cape and turn him into a super heroe ;e el.
No indoor tracks around you? No treadmill? Get some of that under armour cold weather gear. Shits great. I use it for a variety of activities and it really does work. Just don't slip on ice and bust your ass or get nailed by a snow plow.
