Finally had the time to move continue working on this. I added now a Marmorset Viewer with the real time model and baked maps to artstation -> https://www.artstation.com/artwork/DEX5A Texturing is next on the list. I guess I will start with the ax to have some practice with Substance Painter before moving on to the…
Making some progress, textures are temporary, stone wall texture from Vincent Derozier's tutorial is a placeholder. Any kind of critique is appreciated. Does wall stone texture fit rectangular floor tiles and overal scene design/practicality wise in your opinion? Will have to fix some props like windows, made them too…
Thats what Ive been thinking. Ive been trying to practice with TCB, its just hard to visualize the curves like Im used to in Maya with tangent handles. A lot of forums Ive searched through recommend BipedKeyer script to help set presets on the keys and adjust from there, but I cant seem to get the script working in 2017.
There's a problem with Bonus Tools in update 2016.5 (or SP1?), there was an update made which you can find on the autodesk website - but you can also change the script itself. Instead of "Unfold3D -u", change it to "u3dUnfold" and it should work. I had a similar problem with a tool I made that does practically the same…
I agree with PyrZern, go to a practical visual arts program in a decent college. You need to grow up right now; a serious course can teach you things that may not be 3D but will still help you become a better artist, and you can study 3D on the side. Read some curriculums and see if any gets you excited.
Taking a break from some of my stuff for my long term project. Made a quick model of Hestia's Knife from the anime "Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon." My girlfriend and I had an idea to make game asset versions of weapons and equipment from animes, cartoons, and older 2d games just for fun and practice.
In dubio pro reo? You're not that guy and nothing substantial says you are. I don't know about hiring practices in the US, but to me "guilt by Google search" is as damn unprofessional as it gets. As if everything on the internet were true... Personally, I wouldn't consider it an issue, though. I Have a hard time believing…
Finally finished this little side project. Overall satisfied, could've kept nitpicking at small things but I want to move on from this, at least for right now. Edit: I kept trying to scale the hips on the low poly model but angles got too sharp after a certain point. Goal was to keep it low poly(ish), bit of optimization…
Final two hairstyles, with these I have incorporated some hats to get some practice with fitting them to the head. I tried out the skull and crossbones tattoo that I had an idea for in the traditional pieces. It looks a lot better here because it was easy to blend with the character, does not go through the eyes and…
Oooft, this has a really nice feel to it especially with the camera. If you're just practicing some action animation the ignore this... but if it's going on a reel it would be awesome to give the viewer a second or two to take in the final scene. Something like flicking her hair back with her hand as she stands over the…
