Hey guys, just wanted to share with you my latest, decided to do a Spas-12 as it is one of my faves. This is the Highpoly progress so far. Prob gonna work to make it a FPS/TPS model for Unreal engine. Gotta love Keyshot for those sexy HP renders! :) Cheers for checking out. TheDudeness24
Loir Axe Handpainted lowpoly Axe based on my own design. Model itself was made with traditional LowPoly to HighPoly workflow and Baked Normals LowPoly Model was made in Blender and HighPoly Model was sculpted in Zbrush, Some of Renders were made with keyshot and others with Zbrush. It seems doubtful (in my opinion) that ZBrush would develop direct rendering, when there is already the Keyshot bridge. I read somewhere on the OTOY forums that Pixologic has an exclusive agreement with Luxion. Pixologic did showcase their Peel UV plugin which was going to be in ZBrush 2019, but was delayed for technical…
Zbrush and Keyshot almost don't need a GPU at all. So, it's probably worth focusing on the CPU for those. GPU matters a bit for Substance Designer and a lot for Substance Painter. Max likes Quadros but game engines don't. Do you use any game engines for rendering (like UE4?)
Dropped it in to Keyshot quickly to see how the light works with the shapes Staying loose, having fun blocking in some more big shapes and paneling ideas. Haven't really touched the top part that much. Likely to keep the framing hidden behind the rubber "skin" and only exposing some of joints etc.
Hi @harryroy58 , Thanks so much for the kind compliment. I mostly used zbrush to block in the forms and did some retopology to recreate the hardsurface details. Brought it into keyshot and finished off by applying the materials. I recorded my process and if you click on the link you shoul dbe able to find it.
Cheers guys, sure I can a quick render tut thing at some point soon. It's in Keyshot btw. My ostrich jouster dude will take up another tab, and I have some work I need to present a bit nicer for another, so that should sort out the spacing :)
High poly done! (I think). First time rendering in Keyshot, nice program, excited to use it more once I'm ready for final presentation. Will do the grip bumps and details in Substance, as well as the text engravings, excited to get this gun textured (also excited to UV, first model I've done in a while without much…
I made some proper eyes and threw down a really basic polypaint. Should of tested some skin shaders earlier, the soft shadows really changed how the jaw read. Anyway, I don't totally hate the result I'm getting in keyshot in terms of likeness, though everytime I look at it with fresh eyes that opinion changes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks Jeffro, I didn't really do anything special in zbrush. I captured a bunch of different material passes in zbrush and keyshot such as wax, chrome, toon shade, and comp those in photoshop. I think I made a total of 10 different materials and just blended then in photoshop. It's a quick way to get a beauty shot. Hope…
