Wraps are really simple to do! just need to problem solve!, This is a great video to watch from Josh Singh, he uses Zbrush in a very simple but effective way in this tutorial, great for beginners. Skip to 28:30 and you can get an idea on how he does wraps. super simple, great results for stylised meshes…
haha yeah there are alot of elbow impaling weapons around hehe. Thanks two listen I think Ill post this as my final image. I like the bandage wrapping stuff its just a pity my computer cant go up any more levels of detail so I cant add scratches and dents on the blades or detail to the arm wrapping etc
Have you tried a combination of skin wrap and morph ? I can't speak to how it would react in real time, But it works fantastic for "huging" one piece of geo to another. Depending on how dense the effected geo is it can be a bit slow. After really recalling the process involved with a skin wrap and morpher, It probably…
Love the sword. The textures have nicely crisp painted style to them. If that's leather wrapping I'd suggest changing the spec for the wrapping to a low saturation blue, as things that have same color diffuse and spec tend to end up with more of a metallic sheen. That is a sweet looking rifle design! I love the carvings,…
i don't know why you'd post this, but that was fucking stupid. don't wory about wrapping your car around a lightpost, wory about wrapping it around some poor shmuck walking down the damn street. i guess some people won't learn their lesson untill they kill someone. oh well! i guess that's part of growing up!
I'd say the biggest problem is that everything is overly smoothed, and looks as though a lot of the detail are constructed from the same mesh(i.e. the wraps on the handle) You should try to model closer to how it might be constructed in reality. Also, the hilt doesnt match the concept. The horns should wrap over a separate…
1st post here, been lurking for awhile and just wrapped up work on this environment. I might go back later and add/change some things based on feedback I get. Had to wrap this one up before I go to GDC next week. So Crits are more than welcome, tear this one apart so I'l know what to work on for next time. Thanks.
You would get immensely more useful reference by looking at the way the geo and UVs of MetaHuman clothing assets are structured. As for actually crafting the model : create the geo for one side any way you like, get it UVed similarly to the way the MD pattern pieces look like + mirrored, and wrap the full thing around the…
Duplicate your model. Do all the changes you want. Use Skin Wrap to rebuild the morphs. Then use Skin Wrap to transfer the skinning with the "Convert To Skin" button. If you don't have a lot of morphs it won't take long. If you do, it's an easily scriptable processes. You can make pretty drastic change, but the more…
Nevermind I got it. For anyone else having this problem what you do is you start drawing the curve then hold shift for it to wrap around the model. I inserted this low poly version and placed an edge loop. When you do that I noticed the curve focuses on the edge of the polygroup and wraps perfectly. Also, the more…
