Looks good! I'll say almost like Ged, the nose seems to have too much SSS on the subsurface wip's picture. Looks much better on the lighting tests though.
stevston89 haaa yes of course. It acctually works really well considering its primary purpose was skin, not like the ue4 SSS can is pretty useless at anything but skin (it seems).
yea, fuck its amazing Procedural Materials on High Poly or a real uv + texture ? Did you use SSS for the plastic ? Which DOF are you using there ? It is really strange
update on texturing. Painting skin from scratch was really fun. Let me know what you think. Thanks :) substance painter viewport ^toolbag render with sss applied ^
Its a steam saw set. SSS! The steam means its working. Yea but it doesn't really look steampuck, if anything it looks like a sci-fi lumberjack robot suit.
But their SSS solution in terms of color gradient scatter sucks, I cannot use it in it's current state :/ Why Crytek, WHY would you limit people doing stuff with shaders!
Some more Studies, These needed a little more Photoshop love on one of these, for some reason having the skin SSS shader on the hair in marmoset had the hair turn bright blue ;)
