garish is what you wanted? "Nah man, I wanted the model to look bad, it's part of the design. I designed the model to look bad." (I love it when people respond to crits that way) here's my honest crit: The design is very generic and uninspired. A skinny chick with big armor boots and a form-fitting outfit... I don't think…
Hi! The concept itself needs a bit of work in my opinion, here's some feedback: -The overall color palette of the set doesn't really work for me and I think doesn't fit Juggernaut that well either. A few Juggernaut sets utilized a few bits of green but having green being the primary focus of the set, especially when it's…
The face critique definitely is turning out to be a unanimous point, and one I agree on most certainly. Maybe if I have some time after work today I'll see what I can do real quick :D My biggest issue with the face, in adding that detail, is Link is very boy'ish and a bit feminine, and whenever I add more contrasting…
Damn, that is nice. I must say i LOVE it when you get bored soul... You turn out all sorts of interesting low poly works from that samuria to the armor and dracula... and now this... I must ask though is this guild wars inspired? you should submit that armor deisign to them, an armor outfit like that would be badass.. Do…
http://romanyukart.com/store/assault-wip/ Assault from the project vr shooter. This is author's design from 2016. My task was to create a character concept and make it for UE4. Part of the armor for the character used from the armor store. http://romanyukart.com/store/category/armor/
Emphasize his armor/scales more, its completly covered with the new armor. Also to carry that much armor he would probably have to be a bit bulkier/have more muscle.
Materials don't look like real materials to me. Like sword hilt is super shiny and most armors' texture seem random. Do those armors have thickness ? Armor also seems to float above the character too much.
I love the face of that dark mage and his skeleton armor/ornaments remind me of one of my favorite armor sets from Guild Wars 2 - the very cool Krytan armor set. Very excited to see more of that summer project.
Just as a post-mortem critique, Howard, you cannot let armor look lumpy and cloth-like. Your high-poly armor needs to looks smooth and clean at a base level. Right now, it reads like mud in elements like the shoulder armor.
I feel like the forms created by the shoulder pads are not stylistically similar to the rest of his armor, like his chest plates or thigh plates, but this should be a relatively quick fix? Unless the pads need to be incongruent to the rest of the armor design? Otherwise, the thrust of the armor design is clear :) .
