Hmmm, yeah, I don't know about he gap in-between the legs. It doesn't look right to me because as far as I know, nothing that moves on two feet are built that way. Like the gap is just too wide and awkward. I don't really have any expertise making heavy set characters but I would recommend looking up a bunch of resources…
We did it on a bunch of bond games ( http://www.daz-art.com/games_8.htm ), but it's not ideal. As others have said, it isn't too much effort on the code side to just store the verts that transform. The 'faceplate' system worked OK for us, but its clearly much more of a headache than not. One thing that really irked me is…
Hey thanks for the tips, the more the better. I've just got the PolyMagus script to try and take a good look at its features, and possibly figure out something better, anyway I don't want to plagiarize anyone's work. It will fit in my inspiration scripts folder. FYI current IC.Shape can bridge two edges sharing a vertex:…
Yea it's not much fun trying to move objects in zbrush. What you would do though is open your character. Create a sphere object. Convert to Polymesh3d Go back to your character tool Append the sphere as a subtool Scale and move it into place Clone the eye Append the other eye Mirror the eye under the deformations menu Now…

Nedwork, Thanks a whole lot for your crit! I appreciate it! Are you doing Undead Labs work over at the Seattle campus or at the Bellevue one? Anyway, the original farmhouse was done about two years ago in a Jason Stokes class when he was still teaching at Seattle Central. In that class, the maps were HEAVILY folded over…
@dzibarik The floral relief pattern is the only photo-derived part of the gun. I dropped into the Royal Armouries while visiting Leeds a few months ago, and seized the opportunity to get some nice photo-reference. I began by extracting a single diamond shape (containing a subset of flowers) from the photograph and used…
Justin: The Voodoo´s got the ball rolling, got the base-work done. They were pretty much the only viable option until the TNT got released. They served their function perfectly, and from there, we got a few options to choose from which all conformed to tech built on, and based around what we had established from the VooDoo…
i'll echo EQ's comments about spec levels & not going overboard! Not everything has to be shiny, or at least flawlessly shiny! some tips: - as EQ mentioned, work Diffuse & spec simultaneously. I will sometimes take the diffuse to about 60% completion, then start honing in specular stuff. When i go full on in both however,…
