First post, a bit nervous. Been working on a helmet/mask thing for a few days. The concept is made by Nivanh Chanthara http://cghub.com/images/view/650725/ Comments and crits are very welcome. I didn't include the gloss map, since it's pretty dull.
How it's vs Reality capture? My experience with iphone pictures in Reality capture results usually in quite so-so geometry surface quality and thus blurry normal maps. Does it work better? Makes any AI tricks on top of photogrammetry? Includes auto retopo? Reality capture 100% incapable to do the grass . Does Sampler?
Or not :) Last year was a little slower than usual due to many factors including Covid and the simultaneous cost of integrating a larger entity with different processes and infrastructure, but there is no plan to slow down on anything this year, to the contrary.
Finished this environment off and made a movie queue render and put the info including material node graphs on artstation here: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/B1dD86 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6d8C4TLq70Y
I opened an eBay auction last year for my ZBrush WIN license and some guy bought it from there. I sold it for 500$ including the transfer fee just like your original offer.
Thankyou BARDLER this is exactly the sort of feedback I was hoping for. I have included an image of what I am going off roughly, however there are other images I am taking reference from.
Some TexTools functions no longer work with newer Max versions (if I remember correctly) - From 2012 onwards though, Max's UV editor has gotten a lot better, including their normalising function..
Hey thx for sharing this Dustin, it shows how greedy the Hollywood industry really is. Plus that doesnt includes the overpaid voice actors which salaries are worth ten times that of one animator.. Capitalism for you..
You'll want to use the FBX format. Be sure you select all your joints as well as any meshes associated with your animation. In the Include section of the export options, be sure to check the Animation checkbox.
Note to side track, but there's actually a really cool tool included with windows (for a while now), called the 'snipping tool'. It will take a full screenshot, an open window, or a rectangle selection. It also has a 'highlight' feature.
