Hey everyone! This is my first post! Hoping to make it count. I just started on a character idea I've been playing with and would love some critique. Here's a sketch of what I had in mind: I did some sculpting to get down some volumes for her body and I've been having trouble with her face. I've been staring at her for…
Hey man this is looking really awesome! I was writing up some things to try to help with the lighting, but it was easier to just do a paintover, hopefully this helps. I think the biggest thing for the me is the composition and lack of a strong key light. My eye keeps wanting to go the strong hot highlight on the handles,…
Hey guys! I'm new here, even though I made this account back during the first dota 2 polycount contest (that didn't go well for me ahh). But I'm here to try this cosmetics thing again! Vestments of the Demon Rose Here is a rough, rouggghhhh concept of a Mirana set I'm thinking of - still need to do the bow + quiver +…
Update 9/9: I've received a very large number of responses, thank you everyone who responded, I'm sorry I haven't had time to respond individually. Hey there! I'm the indie developer of an ARPG of space exploration called Starcom: Nexus. I'm currently looking for a 3D artist to improve the modular shipbuilding feature for…
Hey guys. I've made a node-based texture generation tool similar to Substance Designer. It's called TextureLab. I made it web-based because I wanted it to be easily accessible and I wanted to promote sharing and build a community around it. It's far from being complete, but the prototype works well enough for you to be…
Cool topic Ben. I must say I learned a bunch from your tutorials a while back when I was figuring out a low poly flow. Although at first I was hesitant to click on your website because of what it was titled. parasite7: Hey gratz on the baby Kenny. Looks like you're leveling up. Myself: Been married 8 years, no kids yet. My…
Hey this is pretty neat. Did you know there's a MaterialX extension for glTF in the works? Might be cool to support this as some point. It would be really neart to have a UV examination view, which could show a UV wireframe on top of a texture. Or maybe even UV seams on the 3d mesh.
[ QUOTE ] did you learn a single fucking thing from the last thread? stop being a computer geek and just ask her out to a movie or something. if you don't really want her, and you've heard some bad things...then why the hell are you wasting your time? apparently you act like a hopeless fool around her, so you have SOME…
Hey thanks for the crit! =] I got some feedback that the pose the character is in didn't look natural. So I started to rework the pose and do any other fixes that need to be done. I realize this isn't a topic to show your WIP's, so I'll just link to my topic here on Polycount.…
Hey, I feel the hair and eyebrows could use a lot of work. She looks better with the sculpted hair in the bottom image than she does with the hair cards in the top image. I feel her armpit wasn't sculpted properly, and her tiara is hovering, without touching her head. The material you used for the skirt looks like jeans,…
