Thank you for the reply. I am indeed using reference pictures (see below for link): http://www.3d.sk/photos/showSet/id/4027/thumb/small/page/7 One thing I did notice about this particular person is the average proportions of 8 head heights to the total body height didn't really apply...it's closer to 7.
same problem on home workstation/i7-7820x, Geforce GTX 1070, Asus TUF X299 Mark2, 64GB DDR4/ also on laptop/eurocom sky x9/. problem was win 10. Since I am using win 7 again - no problem. No freezing - nice life :) . My opinion is that best stable combination is win 7 + 3ds max 2016.
So i have a 7 hour layover in NJ/NY Liberty airport. Anyone know if 7 hours is enough time to go into NYC and go check it out for a small amount of time or is it not enough time with congestion distance and such? If not any suggestions to kill time? so far i got -Nintendo Ds - Books 2 - Maybe sleep
Ps4 had a 7 year run as well, you can be pretty confident that it's not an accident. It takes a long time to develop the hardware which then needs to be in the hands of developers (in varying stages of completion) for at least a year or two before launch. 7 years is also enough time for most studios to get 2 or 3 games…
Thank you for the reply! I upgraded SF and the problem with the fresnel being too strong was fixed. As for the seams in the cubemap i changed the multiply from 7 to 4-5 and the seams went away in rough materials but appeared in smooth materials, so i put a clamp 0-1 node after it and the seams went away with the multiply…
enduring redundant and mundane steps is not only my strength, it's my calling. My technical understanding of deteriorating software is my only means of leveraging my value over actual talented artists, without it, i will be outed as the fraud i am and be reduced to work at 7-11 again. i'm too old to work at 7-11! besides…
recheck with a gradiant background... wireframe on hardened normals, and 8 heads check, final looks to be about 7 1/2 to 7 2/3 heads high acceptable for a human. im gonna tweak his proportions a bit anyways because it looks like his lower leg could be a bit longer, and his torso a little bit longer as well. no remodeling…
So many great stuffs I don't even know where to start :poly142: @Zip and Artypi: your CM set is turning out really great. Can't wait to see the set with colors on :) @Shock: number 7, definitely number 7  I think it would look better if the teeth were a bit bigger like other teeth/claw on the set.
remember that max isn't official supported on windows 7 yet so you can expect some issues. like pior said install service pack and hotfixes, and install latest drivers for graphics card and set windows 7 display options to best performance. max 2010 runs sweet for me and many others so it could be down to ghosts in your…
I've had problems before with Max and WIn 7, there is some advice in the thread I started on CGtalk. In the end I bought a new Quadro graphic card, that actually didn't change anything but then I formatted my computer and reinstalled WIn 7 and only the programs I needed, Max is running well now.…
