Beautiful tank. I'm sure you can spot your mistakes a mile off, in the same way I can spot all the mistakes of my cockpit (of which there are many!) but as I am not an expert in this tank as well as the other 99% of us, we'll never notice. Great job and looking forward to seeing this textured!
my first lightwave animations. the detailed models i didnt make lol! this stuff is 98-99 stuff. http://www.planetgargoyle.com/vid/FixedKilltheborg.AVI http://www.planetgargoyle.com/vid/BattleTest.AVI http://www.planetgargoyle.com/vid/HoverCar.avi (omg original modeling work) and my very first venture into 3dsmax…
I have had a few times where I get a projection 99% dialed in with just the ray offset but have a single issue that I need to make a manual cage to fix. I can see this being a nice workflow addition so that artists can start with offset and then debug a specific issue manually.
Thanks, I've since updated it (below) but the spec is still black. I'm guessing you mean reflection channel? In this case I'm using PBR roughness/Metal and since wood isn't metal I've made it pure black. I'm 99% sure that map should be pure black but if not please let me know.
I tried watching some videos to see if it was something that would actually be useful to me, but they always wound up taking like half an hour to make something that would take me 5 minutes in a normal modeling program, and it usually had a tell-tale blocky structure that 99% of ZModeler designs end up with.
Two serious artists from here are using Blender, that I'm aware of: Pior: http://pioroberson.com http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2310075&postcount=5 http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2304189&postcount=2461 Max: https://mmaaxx.artstation.com…
It's the binormal option. I usually leave it off for what I am doing 99% of the time atm. I dunno how much of a difference it makes to anything, but my thinking has been just let marmoset/substance/unreal recalculate them as they all use the same tangent space, so hopefully it's all matching in engine at the end
no, just cheaper =) I would look at it this way, if you're doing 99% non-professional work and you're a student, get the student version! When you start making money, you'll be able to afford to upgrade your license. I'm sure Ryan would rather have you paying for a student licence then not using the app at all.
their marketing scheme is that a charge for like 2-5 bucks a month shows up on your bill plus an extra 99 cents or so per message. they can really fuck you in the ass unless you have a mega ultra HDTV to read the small ass fine print on the screen. in fact, i smell a lawsuit!
Awesome man, it's like a crazier outside take on the original Liandri location from UT 99 which was a mining station miles down in the Earth and had some some magma areas seen through a window. UT3 version [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcrJNgR66AI"]DM-Liandri [UT 3] - YouTube[/ame]
