A concept like this is gonna inspire me to participate in the challenge instead of just hosting it haha :o Very inclined to include this as the wildcard, depending on where the other votes go!
Most of your animations (including those in your anim reel) are very stiff and rigid. There's no overlapping movement. Everything moves at the same time, it's the biggest flaw I see.
Still have a lot of work to do including some of the detail work on the panels, changing up the details on the window panels, but I think it's coming along quite nicely.
I was going to suggest to include bloom and lens flare (even though I find the effect corny but here it would help sell that it's a lightsource and not some white strip).
Yeah. Frustrates me more than I'd like to admit. I mean they've actually gone to the trouble of including 3D painting, and then it turns out to be utter shite.
Alright so I knocked out a few minor details and started poly painting the model in zBrush. This is just a basic paint over and I'll include later details.
I am thinking about doing that art test. Is it okay to include an art test in your portfolio/showreel? Or is it the sort of thing you keep to yourself then submit to the company?
Skinning is typically just the act of attaching a mesh to a rig and painting the weights. Rigging as a term also includes things like setting up IK handles and other controls.
