a better google suggests that the 4070 doesn't use the 12pin - 4070 the super-ti(or whatever) does since that's actually a 4080. it doesn't preclude the manufacturer deciding to put one on there though. As soon as the card gets past about 400W peak you're asking for trouble on 2 8-pins (150w each + 150w from the PCI slot)…
