Hello there. I'm looking for someone that has some experience with modelling chars and weapons for Quake 3 Arena. A guy I know is making a quake 3 based game, and we'd need some characters and new weapons since we can't use the original resources of the game for copyright issues. If you like to create models, that's nice,…
A couple of you may know i flew out to san diego last friday to do some onsite work and meet with some publishers about our game, well everything seems to be going fairly well and it seems like a great area so im going to be moving out here as soon as i can find a place to rent. I cant get on irc because of the firewall…
Off to a good start =) Crits: - She has crazy eyes. A good rule of thumb to correct this is rest the upper eye lid on the inner iris (black part) and the lower lid on outer iris (color part). The iris is almost always covered in some small way by the eyelids. - When sculpting eyes it helps to push the inner iris in. Since…
Thanks for the feedback guys. I would love more! jeffro, i actually have no idea how to make the header bigger! At the moment i know no css and very little about wordpress, and this is how the the theme came :( Oranghe, thanks! I'm intending to break it up further into categories as I have more to show, but atm the front…
That's practically what I'm doing. There isn't much difference tech-wise comparing a Makerbot to most Reprap machines. Makerbot is sort of just a specific 3d printer design with that box that helps keep temperature stable and whatnot. Reprap has a pretty helpful IRC chat for people that run into problems when building one.…
rawkstar - the talk show @ 3:30PM is just talk radio about random shit. The rest of the station can be quite informative. If you don't like the banter shy away from AllGames Interactive and try for the other shows. AGI does talk about good stuff, but they also talk about off-topic stuff. A lot of this is due to the chat…
Alright, after talking with rube on irc i came up with a pretty good workflow for the scars. This seemed to have worked pretty great on the first try, really happy with the results. I'm a little surprised how well the details came through, will be interesting to see when i've got my final materials. First pic is sculpey…
Projection baking didn't really get popular til post 2000 iirc. The first version of Max to support it was I think 5.1. I wasn't using Maya much at the time but it's had some pretty advanced features for a lot longer than people realise so I wouldn't be surprised if it got there first.
https://youtu.be/lKN8eDHy2wM?si=9pLhmixaQKGETohQ&t=79 @ this point, the flame shadows, idk if that is how it works irl, i haven't studied that, but the one on the right of the screen doesn't bug me but the one on the left does as i can see the "flex" and it doesn't feel "natural" whatever the right is doing from what i can…
if you want people to take you seriously you need to get some groundwork done beforehand. talk to people individually on IRC maybe and draw up a game design document, maybe make a wiki for it and get the project rolling. Anyone can come along and be an 'ideas man' and say they're going to learn it as they go, which is fair…
